Tone F1tness brings contemporary fitness teaching and state of the art equipment to its one-of-a-kind classes, community events and family focused programs. The 4000 sf space includes 2 large studios, locker rooms, a community area, welcome reception and a children’s room.
The heart of the space is the branded feature wall with angles inspired by an actual heart rate pattern. This set the tone for the rest of the space: using plywood warmth for the community areas and locker rooms, and crisp steel details at all counter tops. Before designing the space we were asked to consider storage in a number of ways. Our intent: minimal, simple, and without clutter. Keeping with that intent, we designed simple custom details throughout: metal counter tops and sinks designed to hold towels, soaps, and hair dryers; a crisp soap-like shower, that is well lit, to make the space feel considered and the client feel pampered after a good workout. The last layer of subtle details included: a quote to set the intention for class; simple iconographic wayfinding and signage to welcome guests.
