Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI)
is Located at the Gulf of Main in Portland, Maine. LabVenture is an interactive learning environment that exposes Maine’s fifth and sixth graders to scientific investigation, climate science, and the fundamentals of data literacy. Funded by a NASA grant, Open Studio Collective partnered with Upswell (experience strategy firm) to design the new physical expression of the space. OSC was the design architect and brand agency on the project, working closely with a local architect of record to design the physical space, branded environment and custom tables which house a state of the art digital educational experiences.
