Lowell Court Remodel
is a kitchen and laundry room refresh for an existing home in Southwest Portland. The goal was to better utilize the elongated kitchen for both a functional work space and casual dining space for the client's family of four. The clients wanted the spaces to feel open and connected, bringing in color and natural light.
At the center of the kitchen is an island with loads of storage that transitions seamlessly into bar seating. The cabinets are a contemporary classic, using Reform CPH basis cabinets to flow around the existing windows to frame views. The floors are clad in a clé cement checkerboard tile that playfully pulls you from the entry of the house through the kitchen and into the laundry room. Warmth and color is brought in throughout with nods of terra cotta and copper backsplashes.
